Weekly sessions designed to help Lingraphica device users build confidence using your device in day-to-day life.
Lead by one of Lingraphica’s SLPs, Communication Coaching Device User Group is a free opportunity to learn how to incorporate your AAC device into your day-to-day life to support communication. Sessions range from the basic features of your device to using your device to engage in meaningful conversation with friends, family, healthcare professionals, and more.
Attend the sessions that interest you! There’s no obligation to join every session.

Sign me upWhat is the Communication Coaching Device User Group?
It is a 12-week long course consisting of weekly sessions in which users will learn how to incorporate their device into daily situations, such as social interactions, medical appointments, travel, and other daily activities.
Who is it for?
These sessions are designed for people with aphasia who are trialing a Lingraphica device or already own one. Communication or care partners are encouraged to join with their user.
Do I have to join all 12 sessions?
No! You can join the sessions that most interest you.
How do I join?

Session Topics
Week 1: Device Ownership
Learn the ins and outs of the basic features of your device, including powering it on and off, adjusting the volume, charging your device, using accessories, and more!
Week 2: Flexible Communication
Learn communication tools and techniques, with a focus on flexibility. We will explore features like Card and Folders and Hub apps Draw, Type, and Media.
Week 3: Family Connections
Learn how to enhance communication with family members by learning strategies and skills to create more meaningful interactions, strengthen relationships, and build a supportive communication environment.
Week 4: Navigating Healthcare Conversations
Learn how to use your device to effectively communicate during medical appointments.
Week 5: Navigating Community Events with Confidence
Learn how to use your device to communicate, engage, and participate in a variety of social settings.
Week 6: Dining Out with Lingraphica
Learn how to use your device to confidently navigate dining out at a restaurant.
Week 7: Communicating at Home
Learn how to use your device when communicating at home and gain skills to navigate daily activities, express preferences, and foster meaningful connections with family members, caregivers, and loved ones.
Week 8: Current Events
Learn how to use your device to stay informed and engaged with the world by exploring strategies to access, express opinions, and participate in discussions about current events.
Week 9: Sharing Stories
Learn how to improve your storytelling abilities by learning how to use script training and customization to share meaningful stories with family and friends.
Week 10: Communication Through Play
Learn how to use your device to participate and connect with others during group games and activities.
Week 11: Traveling with Lingraphica
Learn the skills and strategies you will need to navigate travel challenges with your device and improve your confidence while travelling.
Week 12: Effective Communication Over the Phone
Learn how to use your device to confidently make and receive phone calls.
