Your guide to Lingraphica AAC device trials
Evaluations designed for client success and clinical ease
Every trial is designed to give clients the best chance to succeed with AAC, while making the process manageable for busy clinicians. When a client begins a trial without an established SLP, they first work with Lingraphica’s team for setup, training, and initial use. If the device appears to be a good fit, we then connect the client with a third-party speech-language pathologist for the formal evaluation and ongoing therapy.
If an Expressable SLP makes the decision to recommend the AAC device, the therapist completes documentation for both Lingraphica (SGD Evaluation) and Expressable (Cue) Evaluation.
Phases of an AAC Trial
Phase 1
Getting Started
Lingraphica confirms insurance coverage, checks eligibility, and connects with the client through an introduction phone call.
Phase 2
Device setup and training
Lingraphica provides a Zoom setup session, an initial device consultation, and training sessions to help the client feel comfortable using the device.
Phase 3
Evaluation and next steps
An external Speech-Language Pathologist completes an AAC evaluation. Lingraphica secures insurance authorization and ships the client’s new device.

Ready to start a trial? Here’s how it works
You or your client can complete the appropriate form at lingraphica.com/start-trial to submit insurance information. From there, Lingraphica will confirm coverage, set up the device, provide training, and support your client throughout the trial.
You can choose between two trial options:
SLP-Led Trial
• The SLP works directly with a Lingraphica Clinical Technology Consultant, receives training and guidance, and manages the client’s day-to-day progress.
Caregiver Led Trial (At-Home Trial)
• Lingraphica Clinical Training Consultants manage the day-to-day alongside a care partner or loved one. We will collaborate with the Expressable SLP (if still involved) throughout the trial.
